Open Data Faculty Luncheon

What: Faculty are invited to take in a panel discussion on data management and public access best practices. Lunch will be provided.

About

This luncheon brought together faculty and staff from across the university to discuss and share their data management needs, and how they have both stored and shared data publicly. The luncheon was prompted by new public access requirements from NIH, NSF, and other federal funding agencies in response to the “Nelson memo” from the White House.

The luncheon began with a presentation from Paul Bern (Research Data Services Librarian) on data management requirements and best practices, followed by presentations from faculty on their data management practices. The accumulated slide deck is below.
